Since SANCCOB´s establishment in 1968, we have treated over 85 000 seabirds.
Mission
SANCCOB aims to conserve and protect South Africa´s sea birds, especially threatened species, for the benefit of present and future generations.Core Function
- Rehabilitate oiled, injured, ill and airtificially rearing orphaned seabirds on a daily basis
- Prepare for and manage the rehabilitation of seabirds during a major oil spill
- Raise awareness about conservation through environmental education
- Collaborate on research projects
