Educators Workshops

sancobb_educator_workshopsSANCCOB’s Educators training workshops are making a huge difference by sharing practical lessons and well-equipped resource packs for teachers from previously disadvantaged areas in South Africa.   The value of the programme lies in the quality of the teaching and the ‘leave-behind’ resource box of tools which the educators can use for a variety of lessons and which really expands their ability to teach.

Science on the Boat

sancobb_science_on_the_boatScience on the Boat is a programme specially designed for children from poorer communities who have little or no interaction with the conservation of the ocean and the creatures that depend on it.  Through the programme they get to be Ocean Doctors for a day and decide whether the ocean is healthy and what action to take to ensure future health.  The programme runs over two days in an environment which stimulates learning through hands-on experience.
